holisticESSENCE is a personal wellness and natural beauty company that derived from a massage therapy business called Essential Touch, LLC.  We promote the services of Massage Therapy with the promotion of natural based products that are infused with essential oils that are great for your skin from our SOUL PURPOSE site.  We also promote our KITSY LANE BOUTIQUE where you can find great jewelry and accessories to accent your style.

About Your Facilitator

Carla Shoates-Smith is a 1987 graduate of Orange High School, in Orange, New Jersey.  As an active teen, Carla experienced massage therapy and was impressed with how it soothed her sore muscles after practices for cheerleading.  Some years later, Carla attended UNC-Charlotte's Social Work program and graduated in 1997.  She later went on to work in various areas of Atlanta, Georgia.  Her work in Georgia included a casemanager for the Georgia Department of Social Services, a counselor for disadvantaged children at CHRIS Homes | Therapeutic Group Home, a Mental Health Counselor at Southern Regional Mental Health Department, a Massage Therapist for Back Pain Chiropractic, and a business owner for Essential Touch, LLC. providing Massage Therapy services.
 
After relocating to Charlotte, NC, Carla decided to rearrange how she provides her massage therapy services.  Upon completing her business development work, Carla will be reapplying for licensure of Massage Therapy in the state of North Carolina.  In the meantime, Carla will provide Massage services as a part of her promotion of products from Soul Purpose and her Kitsy Lane Boutique without charging until her license are obtained for the state of North Carolina.
 
Carla provides consultations to help introduce her products to clients.  They are listed below:
 

  • Coffee Talk/Tea Time - a one on one consultation introducing clients to Soul Purpose or Kitsy Lane products with Coffee or Tea.

  • Wine Down Wednesdays - a one on one consultation introducing clients to Soul Purose or Kitsy Lane products with Wine.

  • Free Massage with the purchase of products from our Soul Purpose or Kitsy Lane Boutique website in the amounts of:

                $45 - 1/2 hour Swedish massage session 

                $65 - 1 hour Deep Tissue massage session 

                $85 - 1 hour Soul Purpose signature Massage and Exfoliation treatment for glowing skin (must have access to a shower and should                 have  already purchased a sugar/salt scrub withing the $85.00 Soul Purpose purchase.

                This is a one on one consultation.  Purchase of $85.00 must be made prior to appointment.

  • Julep Nail Color & Soul Purpose Hand and Feet Treatment - a group consultation with Julep Nail Color & Soul Purpose Hand and  Feet Treatment.  The group will do nails (fingers and/or toes) together after experiencing the hand and/or feet treatment.  When a nail technician is on hand, we will welcome them to provide services for those who want the professional salon the salon treatment.  The nail technician will have her own fee for the services of helping participants with their nails.
  • Hair Stylist Promotion - Limited to hairstylists.  When a hair stylist participates in our Hair Stylist Promotion, they should follow the steps below: 

          STEP 1: E-mail Carla Shoates-Smith at holisticessence@live.com indicating that you would like to participate in our Hair Stylit Promotion.  Make sure to             include your postal address so that we can send you the products that we have for hair care.

          STEP 2: Ater two weeks, you should receive our products and complete the steps below:

                        - Take a before picutre of your client

                       -  Use our products to cleanse and style your clients hair

                       - Take an after picture of your client

                       - Write/Type and Send a summary of your experience, likes, and dislikes if any, about the product you've used.  Also include comments from                              your client if any.  We are interested in comments such as the fragrance, the impact of the product on the hair, the texture and what it was                              like to use the products in your opinion.

         STEP 3: Send your photos and summary to holisticessence@live.com

         STEP 4:  We will feature your comments in our blog at

 

  • Lifestyle Parties with Soul Purpose 

          In-Person

         - Contact Carla at holisticeessence@live.com and inform her that you are interested in having a Soul Purpose Lifestyle Party.

         - Provide the date and time that you would like to host the lifestyle party.  Make sure that there is at least a two-week period from the date that you make            the request for the party.  Also include in your e-mail a list of your guests and their e-mail if they have one.  I will be able to send them Soul Purpose  n            invitational cards or e-cards online to encourage their participation in your lifestyle party.

         - Make sure that you are able to have food, beverage, and music to entertain your guests.  I will bring the Soul Purpose.

         - Allow me to speak to your guests for about 10-15 minutes, to introduce them to the products and to inform them that their purchases impact the                    discounts that you can receive for hosting.  The more they purchase, the more discounts you get.

        Virtual Party

        - Contact Carla at holisticessence@live.com and inform her that you are interested in having a Soul Purpose Lifestyle Party.

        - Provide the date and time thatyou would like to host the lifestyle party.  Make sure that there is at least a two-week period from the date that you make             the request for the party.  Also include in your e-mail a list of your guests and their e-mail if they have one.  I will be able to send them Soul Purpose                 invitational cards or e-cards online to encourage their participation in your lifestyle party.

        - I will use your guest e-mail list to send your guests a webform to engage their responses and promote products to them based on the form they                       complete.  If they make purchases, I will total the sales from your guests and apply their total to your discount amount which will impact how much you             can get off of your purchases.  I will also provide you with a thank you gift.  I will update you on the total sales as they are made.

         - Your party will last one week unless you request an extended time.
